Stratamodel Inc conducted a radiometric soil borehole survey on the Somane 2 and 4 exploration permits held
by Taurian Resources Pvt Ltd in March of 2009.
Stratamodel visited 1,094 grid points covering 2,400 line kilometers.
The survey covered 988 sq km employing, to measure radon flux.
Spectral gamma instruments were used to measure background gamma and detect uranium progeny
radionuclides in the soil and shallow bedrock.
In addition, Stratamodel collected screened soil samples for geochemical analysis.
The spatial scale of this survey was chosen to identify areas of interest for further exploration.
Weather conditions were generally good for the survey.
